With season 2 approaching faster than The Flash and the Justice Society of America making its way to the scene, Entertainment Weekly reports that Matthew MacCaull (iZombie) will be playing the role of Henry Heywood Sr., also known as Commander Steel, in the upcoming second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Commander Steel is a member of the Justice Society of America and will make his debut in the show’s second season alongside other members of the team: Obisidian, Vixen, Stargirl, Dr. Mid-Nite and The Hourman.
Though there are not many details readily available at this time, it has been reported that Commander Steel is the grandfather of Dr. Nate Heywood, aka Citizen Steel, who will be portrayed by Nick Zano.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
