Former Warner Bros. President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman has spilled the beans on Ben Affleck’s solo film The Batman. According to him, we can expect to see the Dark Knight on screen sometime in 2018.
“Then in 2018, there is a second ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film, and ‘Ready Player One’ feels like an ambitious movie by the world’s best filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, that will set the world on fire. There is ‘Aquaman’ with James Wan, and ‘Scooby Doo’ will be a huge launch and then there is ‘LEGO Ninjago.’ And then there is Ben Affleck’s ‘Batman,’”
There’s no denying 2018 is a fair amount of time away and filming for the movie won’t be starting until Spring 2017, so no exact date can be relied upon. The Flash was supposed to release in 2018, but has since been removed from the release schedule, so all we can do is sit tight and wait it out.
Can’t wait until 2018? Ben Affleck will be staring in Justice League alongside Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher. Justice League is currently set for release on November 17 2017.
