If you aren’t watching #DCTV (and we know you are) you’re missing out on some White Martian invasions on SUPERGIRL, a field trip to Russia for ARROW, and history gets really messed up thanks to Rip Hunter on DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.
So #DCTV is really taking over primetime as is evident in this latest clip on DC Entertainment’s YouTube Channel. DC All Access host Hector Navarro is all over the latest episodes of all our favorites especially after having taken some of the winter off, it’s an all-out invasion from outer space, from the shores of Star City and the time stream as The CW heroes strike back hard from their hiatus!
On Supergirl a storyline that’s been unraveling throughout the Second Season, centers on the White Martians who forced a genocide on Mars and have been making their presence on Earth more apparent. They first revealed themselves as a hidden threat in Season One, and most recently in the form of M’gann (Sharon Leal) or Ms. Martian, the barmaid at the local watering hole revealed herself to J’onn J’onzz (series regular David Harewood) and helped save his life.
When M’gann’s former mate Armek (guest star Terrell Tilford) comes looking for her, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the members of the D.E.O. get trapped inside their headquarters! Targeted by a race of merciless shape-shifters, the Girl of Steel along with the Martian Manhunter must repel this latest invasion, or this just the launching pad for a greater campaign? After the Dominators invasion, is Supergirl readying National City for another attack?
Meanwhile on Arrow the team found an interesting mission to break in their new Black Canary (new series regular Juliana Harkavy) with a visit to Russia. This brings up more questions about Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) missing time before becoming the Emerald Archer, and how one Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig) may have set him on his path to becoming Starling City’s vigilante. Dealing with the Russian underworld also brings out the best in Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards)!
Though many faithful fans have felt that this season of the action series may have gone off the rails, the production team has been able to bring the focus back to our main heroes, and especially Oliver’s promise to protect the city. In his new role as mayor of Star City by day and its ardent defender by night, the Green Arrow has forged a new fighting team, a next generation of crime-fighters that will undoubtedly shine further when the Arrow embarks on its Season Six!
Things are looking kind of grim for DC’s Legend of Tomorrow as our intrepid time travelers find themselves battling several temporal aberrations set off by the so-called “Legion of Doom”. The band of villains have brainwashed Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and turned their captain against them, but worse than that, Rip is on a mission to assassinate George Washington ultimately changing history for the worse!
These arcs are only the beginning as the DC Comics CW shows enter into the second half of their new seasons, towards what will undoubtedly be the best cliffhangers yet, but don’t take our word for it — check in with Hector Navarro on DC All Access for all the latest #DCTV updates!
