Warner Home Video announces the release of Vixen: The Movie.
With Vixen: The Movie, Warner Home Video is not releasing an actual animated film like Justice League Dark or Batman: Bad Blood. Instead the movie in question is actually a well edited compilation of Vixen’s Season 1 and 2. A compilation done in a way it appears as the story is being told like a movie, a very good one at that.
Vixen, is a short animated series, starring a heroine of the same, with Megalyn Echikunwoke as the voice of the mystical protagonist, and is available at the CW Seed streaming service.
The series has become a fan-favorite, one of the main reasons, because of its ties to the Arrowverse, with Megalyn Echikunwoke, not just providing the voice for Vixen but also appearing as the character in live action in Season 4 of Arrow.
With “15 minutes of all-new, never-before-seen content,” and a series compiled as one awesome movie, the home-media release is set to include the following extras:
- Vixen: Spirit Animal featurette
Bruce Timm’s Top Picks: - Episode from Justice League Unlimited, “Hunter’s Moon”
- Episode from Justice League Unlimited, “Grudge Match”
Vixen: The Movie is set to be released via Digital HD on May 8, and on Blu-ray and DVD on May 23.
