With the success of Wonder Woman, it’s already been established that a sequel is in the works. Patty Jenkins has yet to confirm if she’s returning to direct, even though we all know she will, but that hasn’t stopped from plot synopsis to already circulate.
It has been confirmed that Wonder Woman 2 will take place in the 1980’s and Chris Pine will be returning as Steve Trevor. Diana will take on the Soviet Union at the end of the Cold War. But just how will Pine return as Trevor? From a marketing standpoint, the decision makes total sense, the chemistry between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine was one of the most praised aspects of the film. The #winning combination of Trevor and Diana makes his sacrifice in the movie all the more meaningful for Diana’s character in BvS and beyond.
