The time-tripping LEGENDS are going to have their hands full in Season 3 of The CW hit series, but one member in particular is going to have to make a serious decision as her own legacy comes into conflict with the team — literally!

Oh the horrors of time travel! You’d think that with all the trouble Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has been causing on The Flash its other CW / DCTVU spin-off DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would know better, after all — one of the group’s mission statements is to never mess with the timeline as they correct the various existing aberrations, but as the Season 2 cliffhanger proved our team of intrepid heroes may have bitten off more than they can chew!

Returning to the fold in Season 3 will be Maisie Richardson-Sellers who plays Amaya Jiwe (in theory) the “original” Vixen who jumped onto the “Waverider” at the beginning of last season to uncover a mystery that involved the members of the Justice Society of America. At the conclusion of that season-long arc, Amaya decides to remain with the Legends. Only problem with that, the longer Amaya remains outside of “realtime” the likely it is her legacy will be affected.

Going into Season 3 we’ve already learned that one of the “big bad” villains that will be plaguing the Legends will be Kuasa (played by actress Tracy Ifeachor) the sister to Mari McCabe, the modern era’s Vixen, brought to life by Megalyn Echikunwoke and introduced in a Season 4 episode of Arrow. When confronted with the possible fates of both of her grand-daughters, Amaya will have to make some serious choices about her place among the Legends.

In a recent interview Richardson-Sellers commented about the upcoming drama ready to unfold! “I think it’s really fascinating for Amaya to see that one of her descendants could turn out to be evil,” the actress said. “She knows she has to get back to her timeline because Mari needs to exist, but now she knows that if Mari exists — so does Kuasa.” It’s going to shake things up for the character who will be faced with making the ultimate sacrifice, at some point or another.

The introduction of Kuasa will also impact the other members of the team especially Ray Palmer, The Atom (played by Brandon Routh) who is the only other Legend to have actually crossed paths with Kuasa in the “present” timeline. The pair faced off against one another and then teamed up in the Second Season of the Vixen animated series. Ray will have to wrestle with the fact that in the present Kuasa sacrifices herself, and he knows that Kuasa is capable of acting selflessly.

Before that Kuasa is poised to turn things on their ear for the Legends in fact proving a formidable threat that will be alining herself with the Legion of Doom’s Damien Darhk and The Flash villain Gorilla Grodd. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow return with new episodes in October on The CW.
