Harley Quinn season 2 will debut new Batman rogues, and has only added to its star power.
The breakout R-rated series has cast Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2, Frida) as Mister Freeze, while Sanaa Lathan (The Affair, Family Guy) will slide into the whip-wielding role of Catwoman.
This is not Molina’s first entry into the DC Universe. Famous for portraying Spider-Man villain Doctor Octopus, Molina voiced Ares in the first DTV animated Wonder Woman. He later voice various DC villains and heroes in Justice League and Robot Chicken.
Harley Quinn Season 2 – What can Fans Expect?
The penultimate chapter of the first season saw Harley succeed in cutting The Joker out of her life. Although defeated, the clown proved a sore loser by triggering bombs that engulfed Gotham in flames. While the clown has faked his death and Batman has gone missing, Harley and her crew stood triumphantly over a burning Gotham. This earthquake may be an adaptation of the “No Man’s Land” story; the cataclysm cut Gotham off from the US, leaving the city free for villains to claim territory. The storyline was also Harley’s entry point into the regular DC continuity.
The series stars Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Diedrich Baker, Christopher Meloni, Alan Tudyk, Jason Alexander, Natalie Morales, Wanda Sykes, Rahul Kohil, Ron Funches, J.B. Smoothe, and Jim Rash. Cuoco also executive produces the show.
Harley Quinn season 2 begins April 3, 2020 on DC Universe.
