Even though we’re two weeks away from Superman: Red Son hitting store shelves, WB have already started the marketing machine for the next entry in 2020’s line of DC animated movies, that being Justice League Dark: Apokolips War.

From what we can tell, this flick adapts Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok’s Justice League: Darkseid War, and is the culmination everything this New 52-inspired continuity has built toward since the release of 2014’s Justice League: War. Not only that, but one could say this is DC animation’s answer to Avengers: Endgame, as it’ll unite the Justice League, Justice League Dark, Teen Titans, Suicide Squad and Bat-Family in an epic battle against invading Apokoliptian forces. Given that massive lineup, you shouldn’t expect an exact translation of the source material.

Thanks to IGN, we’ve been gifted the first trailer promoting the film, which can be viewed below.

The impressive voice cast includes Matt Ryan as John Constantine, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Tony Todd as Darkseid, Jason O’Mara as Batman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Stuart Allan as Robin/Damian Wayne, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan, Roger R. Cross as both John Stewart and Swamp Thing, Liam McIntyre as Captain Boomerang, Sachie Alessio as Lady Shiva, Hynden Walch as Harley Quinn and John DiMaggio as King Shark. Matt Peters and Christina Sotta co-direct a script by Ernie Altbacker and Mairghread Scott.

Right now, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War lacks a release date, but a May or June debut is most likely. Keep watching this space as we learn more.
