Summary
We Only Find Them When They’re Dead #4Â is unlike anything I have ever read. The premise is so intriguing and eye catching, and issue 4 is no exception.Â
The crew of the autopsy ship Vihaan II has faced a hard loss. While they have proven that the Gods they have harvested can in fact be found alive…it has come at a cost that none of them were expecting. Captain Georges has made up his mind and even with Richter still alive and just waiting for her moment of revenge… nothing will stop him now. Not even the love of his ship and crew. Though our brave Captain can only control his actions and neither his crew or Richter herself…are ready for this to journey to end.Â
Positives
The stained glass artwork that brings this world to life is so breathtaking. As the journey has unfolded the images before us are mighty and the writing eloquent. Living art is definitely a category I would place this series in. the premise is enthralling and thought provoking. The mystery behind these floating Gods and what they represent in this universe remains to be seen but the voyage to those answers is the fun of this series as we watch the autopsy crew along their course.Â
Negatives
There are literally none.Â
Verdict
We Only Find Them When They’re Dead #4 gives us pieces of the history that is between Captain Georges and Paula Richter. Her rage and determination to see him dead is given a form. The emotions that are displayed in the phenomenal artwork are masterful. This book is unique, intriguing, and is not a series I recommend sleeping on.
