Review: My Adventures with Superman 1×09 – “Zero Day: Part Two”

Summary
My Adventures with Superman 1×09 – Superman finally gets answers to who he is and where he came from, while coming face-to-face with The General, leader of Task Force X. Meanwhile, Lois and Jimmy must find Superman before Dr. Ivo destroys Metropolis.
Positives
The General’s determination finally pays off and he captures Superman. Forcing Superman to recall the events of his arrival, it seems that Clark’s ship arrived during an attempted invasion of Earth. Superman claims to not remember any of it, but the General doesn’t believe him. Waller is intent on killing Superman without all of the facts, while the General isn’t so sure. I feel like at some point there will be a conflict amongst the two.
Lois and Jimmy figure out that Superman has been taken and go to great lengths to find him. I really like how Lois and Jimmy are not just on the sidelines in this series. Even in the scenes where Superman fights, Lois and Jimmy aren’t far behind trying to come up with a plan to help him.
Negatives
I have no complaints about this episode. The story was great, and the action is top tier. I didn’t really like the Parasite at first in the beginning of the season, but I like how they merged him with the character of Dr. Ivo. Here, Dr. Ivo created and used the Parasite as a suit–and its effective in the story.
Verdict
Overall, I thought My Adventures with Superman 1×09 was a great story and I’m eager to see the conclusion of the first season. Waller attempts to make her move as new Director of Task Force X, and I’m not sure where it leaves the General. Jimmy and Lois motivate the city to help Superman with his battle against the Parasite and it works. I was happy to see the citizens of Metropolis join in and help Superman in his fight.
