Summary

My Adventures With Superman 1×10 – Thanksgiving at the Kents gets awkward when Clark learns that Lois’ father is the very same general that kidnapped him previously. General Lane and Lois finally have a confrontation about Superman.

Positives

I really enjoyed this season finale of My Adventures with Superman. Episode 1×10, “Hearts of the Fathers”, deals with Clark meeting Sam Lane, Lois’ father, for the first time. The interaction is extremely awkward with Sam believing that he’s met Clark before. Clark immediately recognizes Sam as the General that captured him along with Task Force X.

These issues mean nothing however, as the Kent home is suddenly attacked by a Kryptonian ship, and soon an entire fleet threatens to emerge. For a brief moment, enemies become allies as Sam Lane and Superman team up to stop the invasion.

Negatives

I have no negatives about this episode.

Verdict

My Adventures With Superman 1×10 was a great episode and really showed the differences in the lives of Lois and Clark. I found the Kents to be particularly loving and hilarious as Jonathan sits on the floor patiently waiting for the turkey to cook, while Martha is getting a little offended about Sam’s questions to Clark. Clark’s realization that Sam was the General was also funny, as he stumbles trying to keep the secret from Lois. My Adventures with Superman‘s first season overall was great for a start. The comedy was there when needed, but not overly done, and the action was top notch. I can’t wait to see how season two starts and who the next villains will be. Hopefully we’ll also go a little more into the history of Krypton as well, as it was touched on towards the end of the episode.

Score: 5/5
