Summary

My Adventures With Superman 2×02 – While Perry saddles Jimmy with a new team to run Flamebird, Clark and Lois investigate Stryker Penitentiary and discover just how far Amanda Waller will go to rid the world of Superman.

Positives

This episode finds Clark and Lois investigating Stryker’s Island in an attempt to find General Sam Lane. It seems that Sam has been imprisoned by Amanda Waller, and Task Force X now belongs to her. I really enjoyed Lois and Clark working together to take down Waller; however, this episode left me scratching my head at some parts, which I’ll explain later.

Jimmy now has a staff working for him on his Flamebird videos and news. Now within the walls of The Daily Planet, Jimmy finds himself in a mess of sorts when he first encounters his work staff. I found this downright hilarious. When he looks to complain to Perry White about his interns, Perry’s response was too funny.

Negatives

Although this was a good episode, I did have some issues with it. My main concern was Superman during his battle inside the prison. Although I know Lois was looking for her father, does it really make sense for Superman and Lois to constantly be seen together? I’m sure at some point Amanda Waller will put things together–or maybe even Sam Lane.

Verdict

My Adventures With Superman 2×02 was a good episode, but it left me with questions concerning Superman and Lois and the issues of keeping his identity secret. Lois, at the end of the episode, makes a questionable decision regarding her father, Sam, and I’m sure Clark doesn’t appreciate it. Also, it seems one of Superman’s most dangerous enemies makes an entrance at the end of the second episode, and I can’t wait to see what he has planned for his encounter with the Man of Steel.
