DC Comics and the Hero Initiative Present:

The Superman 100 Project!

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2024) — The Hero Initiative, the charity that helps comic book creators in medical and financial need, is celebrating comics’ first and greatest Super Hero, Superman, in a huge way!

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with DC to celebrate Superman and show fans what the character has meant to comics and the culture,” stated Hero Initiative president Jim McLauchlin. “The original comic book covers that will be published in The Superman 100 Project are truly impressive and sure to be a hit with fans and collectors.”

In 2023, DC Comics produced a precious few blank-covered card stock editions of Superman #6, and since then, the Hero Initiative has asked 100 top artists to do original drawings right on the covers. The result is The Superman 100 Project, publishing on December 18 as a trade paperback (softcover) book collecting all the original sketch covers.

All of the Hero Initiative’s 100-plus original Superman sketch covers are on display in The Superman 100 Project, with art by Alan Davis, Kevin Eastman, JosĂ© Luis GarcĂa-LĂłpez, Dan Jurgens, Ed McGuinness, Frank Miller, Frank Quitely, and more! See all the original art, along with a special behind-the-scenes section showing developmental art along with even more bonus content.

The original sketch covers will be auctioned off starting in October. A limited-edition hardcover will also be available direct from the Hero Initiative and Third Eye Comics on December 18.

There will be only one printing of this book ever! Get it now so you don’t blow your chance!
