Summary

“AMAZONS ATTACKED” part four! When last they met, Wonder Woman was robbed of a chance to meet Darkseid in single combat—and she’s certain she’d be able to take him down. At last, she’s going to get her wish—but with Darkseid at full power, is she still sure she’ll survive?

Positives

I like the cover by Carlo Pagulayan, Jason Paz and Romulo Fajardo Jr. I love the energy bolts flying everywhere from the intensity of the battle between Wonder Woman and Darkseid. Both characters look great as well.

The interior art features pencils by Emanuela Lupacchino, inks by Ray McCarthy and colors by Fajardo Jr. I love the art in this issue. Lupacchino’s pencils are gorgeous. There’s a lot of action throughout and it looks amazing. There’s a nice amount of spectacle to the issue.

I love how hard Diana fights despite the overwhelming odds. It adds to the stakes as well as making Diana sympathetic. The odds are not in her favor to put it lightly and it’s a lot of fun to see her give it her all against Darkseid.

Ultimately, the culmination of Darkseid’s plan is interesting. For the first time, this story of Darkseid’s return has some weight to it. It’s a cool idea and I’m excited to see where it goes.

Negatives

There are no negatives worth mentioning in this issue.

Verdict

This is a really enjoyable issue. The action is great thanks to how strong the art is. The plot takes an interesting turn and overall, I had a lot of fun with this issue.
