We have some DC Universe news out of SDCC, regarding the second seasons of both Titans and Doom Patrol.
Titans season two was already confirmed, with several new additions to the cast, but there’s now a premiere date of Friday, September 6. The premiere was announced the same week as the sad news about special effects coordinator Warren Appleby’s death in a stunt test.
Doom Patrol‘s return will be connected to WB’s new HBO Max streaming service, as revealed by Executive Producer Jeremy Carver and actress Diane Guerrero (Crazy Jane) during the show’s SDCC panel. New episodes will debut on DCU in 2020, with all 15 episodes of season one also available on HBO Max when it launches that spring.

Picking up after the events of Titans, Doom Patrol will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.
This all comes on the heels of some other SDCC news: the DCU Harley Quinn trailer reveal. Following the controversy over Swamp Thing‘s cancellation, it’s good to see some stability on the streaming service lineup.
