Stephen Lobo is coming to the multi-show CW crossover this fall as Jim Corrigan, the human host of The Spectre. The Spectre is one of the most important characters relating to the Crisis crossover from the comic books.
In an exclusive on IGN, Stephen Lobo is confirmed by the CW as part of the ever growing cast of the Crisis crossover. The crossover, based on the legendary series from DC Comics, is coming to television this fall.
Fans might recognize the actor from his roles in Continuum and Supernatural so he definitely has experience working on long running shows. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim stated that the Spectre is a big reveal stating:
“Fans of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic know the Spectre plays a pivotal role. We’re thrilled Stephen is our Jim Corrigan.”
For those unfamiliar with the character, the Spectre is one of the most powerful entities in the DC universe. His near omnipotent powers require a human host and so for the purposes of the upcoming crossover, that host will be Jim Corrigan.
Corrigan/The Spectre acts as an observer for the most part in many storylines in the comics so one could imagine a similar role once the crossover hits the airwaves. Considering the large cast that has been announced for this crossover already, there might not be much screen time for the Spectre.
As of right now, the crossover features the following actors and roles: Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, and Erica Durance as Lois Lane (and that’s not even half).
The five night crossover begins on December 8 with the following schedule:
- Supergirl – Sunday, December 8, 2019 (8pm ET/PT)
- Batwoman – Monday, December 9, 2019 (8pm ET/PT)
- The Flash – Tuesday, December 10, 2019 (8pm ET/PT)
- Arrow – Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (8pm ET/PT)
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 (9pm ET/PT)
