Summary
Jordan and Johnathan attempt a try at normalcy in Smallville High, while Lois pursues an ever deepening story into Morgan Edge.
Positives
Tired of being harassed at school, Jordan tries out for the football team. Johnathan who is already on the team as its backup quarterback, isn’t all too thrilled at first. Throughout the episode Johnathan’s slight jealousy however turns to admiration as he finally sees his brother making friends quickly. Lois meanwhile is continuing her investigation into Morgan Edge, which includes a lead with a very interesting story. Chrissy, who is Lois’ new editor in chief at the Smallville Gazette is hesitant about running the story–however the appearance of a powerful enemy changes her mind.
Negatives
Nothing to complain about here. Superman & Lois 1×03 was a great episode. Although this episode seemed to focus primarily on Lois, Jordan and Johnathan a great story was still told. I love how these episodes can focus on Clark’s family life–and still not come across as dry or boring. The humor is there as well. A funny part involves Clark’s super hearing while the boys are at school. The scene itself is hilarious but also raises questions about a teenager’s privacy with their parents.
Verdict
This was such a great episode and I’m looking forward to next week. Jordan is remaining on the football team while Clark volunteers as coach to be more closer to his sons. I love how although he’s Superman Clark still finds a way to impactful in his kids lives. There’s even a scene where the family is having a fun moment–but Clark is soon called away to action. It’s something his sons will apparently have to get used to now that they know the truth about their Dad.
