Superman & Lois has a new season finale date.
The runaway hit starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch has had two hiatuses this season, the latter ending this Tuesday. The upcoming episode follows the cliffhanger of Clark Kent finally revealing his secret to childhood friend, Lana Lang-Cushing (Emmanuelle Chriqui). As to this season’s ender, The CW has announced the finale has been pushed back from June 21st to June 28th.
Superman & Lois Concluding In June, But What Else? Is Arrowverse Ending?
The Flash, meanwhile, will have its season finale on June 29th. Fledgling series Naomi, which had not been renewed unlike these shows, has already aired its series finale May 10th. To date, with its ninth season confirmed, The Flash is now currently the longest-running Arrowverse series.
Arrowverse fans have been concerned as of late with cancellations of several shows. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, for example, has been cancelled after seven seasons, its finale ending on a cliffhanger. The same can be said of Batwoman, which had been ended after three seasons. However, CW Chairman and CEO Mark Pedowitz has gone on record to say “We are still in the superhero business.” Proof of his word have been current work on another season of Stargirl and the development of Batman spinoff Gotham Knights. However – with the exception of John Wesley Shipp reprising his role as Jay Garrick from The Flash on Stargirl – neither of these have any affiliation with the Arrowverse, and yet are still DC canon as Multiverse branches.
