Recently, the Supernatural star expressed his interest in playing as one of the most iconic members of the Bat-family, Nightwing.
Officially there is a Nightwing film coming up in the DCEU schedule, making fans wonder who will be the person to take on the mantle of the first Robin.
Because Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, already features a seasoned and old Batman, by logic Nightwing is also supposed to look older, and Padalecki looks the age and certainly has the traits to stand up to the role.
Since Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been a fan-favorite to star as Nightwing. However, Jared Padalecki’s name has been recently thrown into the mix, with him responding via Twitter, with something that will definitely amp up his and Nightwing’s fans alike.

The Nightwing film has currently no release date.
