The newest promo for the CW’s upcoming superhero series, The Flash, does exactly what it’s supposed to do by showing the fans just enough to keep them excited about this property.

In the 40-second clip, we get tons of Easter eggs. The very first thing we see is a billboard for Palmer Technologies with the tag line “Bigger Isn’t Always Better”. This is a clear reference to Ray Palmer aka The Atom, who will make his appearance in Arrow this Fall being played by Brandon Routh.

We also get several references in the form of a crossword puzzle. Some of these include “SPEED”, “THUNDER”, “ALLEN”, “GHOST”, “IRIS”, “DAD”, “STARLING”, and the one that excites me the most, “GRODD”. I would love to see what they could do with Grodd and Gorilla City.

We also see Barry whiz by a police officer with a radar gun, which clocks him going an impressive 760 mph, which also happens to be the speed of sound. This is the reason we hear a clap of thunder, because he is breaking the sound barrier.

Martin as Detective Joe West, and John Wesley Shipp (who played The Flash in the 1990 TV series) as Barry’s father, Henry Allen.
