Clare Foley played Ivy Pepper in Gotham season 1 & 2. She was a odd ball, defensive, and eccentric character. When we first meet her it is at a market run by street kids and thugs, she’s friends with Cat and begins getting defensive and tries to figure out who Bruce is. Throughout two seasons of the show we see her a few times here and their but never get major development. She demonstrates that the can grow plants with her magic mushrooms to put anyone to sleep. Later we see her taking care of Firefly’s birds.

Season 3 has unveiled Maggie Geha as the new Poison Ivy. Fox’s official synopsis of Gotham Season 3 has revealed that Ivy Pepper had an interaction with one of the villains now roaming around Gotham. It caused her to age rapidly and gain full control of her powers. Maggie Geha has played a number of roles in television such as in Gossip Girl, 30 Rock, and a short run on All My Children. She even had a role in Ted 2!

A quick browse through Maggie’s Twitter (@maggiegeha) will show her excitement for the role of Poison Ivy! There are many pictures with the cast of Gotham on the red carpet and at various interviews. Other actors have even tweeted her with their excitement.

DC Comics News Gotham Season 3Fox’s synopsis states that the Mad Hatter and the Tweed brothers are in town as well. It will be very interesting to see what trouble the new, powerful, Ivy gets herself mixed up in. Will Gordon have to hunt her down? Will Ivy and Cat form a strong bond? Might we see the emergence of the Gotham City Sirens? How might the Court of Owls take advantage of all the chaos brought on by the villains? There is a lot to look forward to this season on Gotham.

One interaction I look forward to is that of Poison Ivy and Barbara Kane. Finally, in the series we have another woman who looks to have the elegance and class to keep up with Barbara.

Tune in September 19th for the debut of Poison Ivy, to catch up with Gordon and Bruce, and see what the Court has in store for Gotham Season Three.
