Summary

Gotham City Garage strategist Barda Free is determined not to let the new kid slow them down. But when her team rolls into trouble in Clayface Valley, will Kara be the only thing standing between them and sudden death?

Positives

I really loved how this issue dove deeper into this awesome new world following the crazy events of the first issue.  And having Barda as the narrator was a fantastic choice, especially since we don’t usually see much of her in the comics.  She introduces us to her own troubled past, as well as some interesting antagonists in this world, including the Red Hood M.C. and Clayface Valley (which is such an awesome concept).

We also got to see Kara finally discover some of her true potential, and really start to fit in with this group of badass ladies.  Also, Wonder Woman is coming!!!  And I can’t wait!

I also want to speak about some of the technical aspects of this issue.  I love the art style, and with so many different people working together, it could’ve easily gotten muddled, but fortunately, this did not happen.  And the story and dialogue was great.  It flowed well and kept me wanting to read more.

Negatives

There are no negatives worth mentioning in this issue.

Verdict

This was such a solid issue in what seems like will be a fantastic series.  I am super excited for what is to come next, and you should be as well.
