San Diego Comic-Con saw the title announcements of two new animated features coming in 2014, Son of Batman and Batman: Assault on Arkham. Keep in mind that 2014 is Batman’s 75th birthday! Now a Warner Bros. Home Video representative has confirmed story details for both films.
Batman and Son Story
Son of Batman, which is scheduled to be released in Summer 2014, will be an adaption of Grant Morrison’s “Batman and Son” storyline. There is no available cast or crew announcements yet.
Arkham Asylum Game
Batman: Assault on Arkham, expected to be released in Fall 2014, will be set in the continuity of the Batman: Arkham video game series. The film will be made up of new animation, not footage from the game. Some voice actors from the games are expected to reprise their roles for Assault on Arkham , but they have not yet been announced.
