In 2011, we were introduced to the New 52 era in DC Comics in which some characters and stories faced the new status quo in their titles as well as making history by having their books being published at the same day both print and digital. In 2012, we were introduced with zero issues of almost every title that is being published which spotlights character driven histories and never before seen stories. Now in the wake of the Trinity War, evil has won. More specifically, the Crime Syndicate of America. In the upcoming Justice League #24, Ivan Reis along with Joe Prado did an evil rendition of the famous cover originally done by Jim Lee in the first issue of the Justice League relaunch back in 2011.
Geoff Johns eleborates on the artwork:
“With the League out of the picture, the Crime Syndicate is taking center stage — and their mission on Earth, their secrets and their sins all will be revealed in the months ahead with the beautiful work of Ivan Reis and Joe Prado”Â
