ComicbookResource revealed how Filipino comic professionals are banding together to raise awareness and aid for the recent Typhoon Haiyan disaster. Attending two separate events, comic artist will sell commissioned art work, prints, and sketches in an benefiical effort to raise aid for Typhoon Haiyan victims.

“On Nov. 23, artists like Leinil Francis Yu (“Avengers”), Stephen Segovia (“Superior Carnage”) and Carlo Pagulayan (“Iron Man”) will attend a benefit at DK Comics in Manila called Action For Yolanda Victims. The event is sponsored by the shop as well as Pinoy Colorist Group.”

Fully Booked is having a fund raiser the very same day, Art With Heart. Though they will feature many of the same creators, they will also feature donated works from such artist as Jonathan Lau, Lan Medina, and many more!

But it doesn’t stop there, Identity Comics Studio has started the hashtag #sketchesforhaiyan. They plan to sketch 5.5 by 8.5 inch character headshots at $26. $20 goes to Philippine Red Cross and $6 goes to shipping costs.

Now if you’re looking for more artistic efforts to raise aid for the Philippines there’s a Tumblr named Art For Haiyan. From there you can see just about any creative fundraiser going on as of now.
