Following the announcement of Jesse L. Martin being cast as Detective West in the Flash pilot show, it’s the villains turn. The Vampire Diaries’ Rick Cosnett and “Scream Queen” Danielle Panabaker are set to co-star along Gustin Grant in the CW’s show “The Flash”.
Cosnett will be playing Detective Eddie Thawne, “a recent transfer to the Central City Police Department, whose past is a mystery and who harbors a dark secret.” Panabaker will be playing Caitlin Snow, “a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.”
If you haven’t pieced it together yet “Thawne” is a surname for one of The Flash’s deadliest enemies, Eobard Thawne, aka The Reverse Flash aka Professor Zoom. Coincidence? I think not. Caitlin Snow is a name straight out of the comic books so it will be no surprise when Panabaker becomes Killer Frost.
The ensemble cast for the show is slowly but surely coming together, and looking more interesting with every addition. Thoughts?
