To all the DC fans who grew up with Bruce Timm’s vision of the DC-verse, this bit of news might just make your day.
As you may or may not know, everyone’s favorite Caped Crusader is turning 75 years old and DC is spending the entire month of April celebrating. As part of the birthday festivities, Bruce Timm has produced a brand new short film titled Batman Strange Days. This will mark the first appearance of the “Timm-style” Batman since Justice League Unlimited ended its run in 2004.
The short appears to be entirely in black and white, evoking a (likely intentional) feeling of old serials from the 30s and 40s. The story reportedly sees Batman taking on Dr. Hugo Strange and an unknown hulking figure who looks equal parts Solomon Kane and Solomon Grundy.
Batman Strange Days will air as part of the DC Nation on April 9th just after Teen Titans Go!, which will air at 6:30PM Eastern Standard Time on Cartoon Network.
