DC Comics, senior VP of Vertigo and Integrated Publishing Hank Kanalz said, “With the success of Legends of the Dark Knight and Adventures of Superman, giving Wonder Woman her own digital anthology series makes perfect sense. With this series creators can dream up unique takes on the Amazon Princess to give fans a new adventure every week. We’re very excited about the line-up, and readers won’t want to miss the sensational action-packed Wonder Woman stories we have planned for the coming weeks and beyond.”

With other digital firsts comics like Legends of the Dark Knight and Adventures of Superman being successful, the digital trinity is complete. Similar to the other two digital series, Sensation Comics will be released digitally first once a week then released in a collected single print with three chapters. The title will also feature various artists and writers like Gail Simone and Ethan van Sciver.

It is also important that DC Comics takes advantage of this opportunity with Gal Gadot appearing as the Wonder Woman in the Man of Steel sequel. With her appearing in the film, it could boost interest and sales for the character.
