Recently announced on USA Today, NBC’s take on the DC/Vertigo Comic series Hellblazer has finally found its Papa Midnite in Michael James Shaw, Shaw will play Papa Midnite as a recurring guest role, possibly the 1st season’s major villain, Papa Midnite from the comics is one of John Constantine’s greatest adversaries and at times a formidable ally against Demon forces.
Michael James Shaw joins the likes of Matt Ryan who stars as John Constantine, casts for the show also includes Harold Perrineau, Charles Halford and Angélica Celaya, David S. Goyer serves as executive producer.
Constantine pilot will premiere on October 24 at 10/9c on NBC
