Female Director sought for Wonder Woman film

Warner Brothers recently released their full slate of DC superhero movies up to 2020, where a solo Wonder Woman movie is scheduled for 2017. Now there are reports that Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman film, which will star Gal Gadot, want to bring in a female director to take charge of Wonder Woman’s silver screen debut.

 

 

Wonder Woman will be spinning out of the much anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. With the move to a Wonder Woman film, it shows that Warner Bros. are addressing the criticism and comments relating to lack of diversity in superhero movies.

 

 

Forbes.com produced a list of female directors to helm the Wonder Woman solo project, including Catherine Hardwick (Twilight), Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker), Emmy Winner Michelle MacLaren (Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead), and many more to their list of potentials.
