Greg Berlanti explores the possibility of working with his upcoming Supergirl television series in a shared universe with Arrow and The Flash.
An all-new edition of the Entertainment Weekly magazine coming out on December 5th reveals interesting details about Berlanti’s plans and his upcoming project which in fact is the Supergirl TV show everyone is talking about.
Later in the afternoon at his other office on the Warner Bros. lot, Berlanti meets with fellow producer Ali Adler and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to go over looks for their upcoming revamp of Supergirl. The show will follow 24-year-old Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, and with a twist that could melt fanboy brains, Berlanti says it’s possible this Supergirl could enter the worlds of Arrow and The Flash.
The three shows could possibly be in the same universe not only because Berlanti produces all three, but also because CBS and The CW are sister stations, which makes a deal very likely to be approved.
Arrow and The Flash sharing the same space has proved to be a success. The television universe of DC Comics has become very ambitious it seems, which makes more of a shame not to take advantage of this and share the same universe with the movies! Come on DC.
Ok guys, what do you think? Should Gotham add itself to this grand television universe? (if it secretly has not already, of course), Is this the beginning of the Justice League of America on television?
