With DC releasing their movie slates for the next few years all the way up to 2020, it was only time that news about the movies was released. It seems now that Captain Marvel AKA Shazam will be sharing not only the power of Solomon but the same universe as Man of Steel and Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
DC fans around the world will finally get the face off they have been waiting for since the General Zod and Superman fight in Man of Steel. Yes the Man of Steel may face off against Shazam or even, and here’s hoping, The Rock’s Black Adam. The most powerful of all the heroes in the Justice League may face off and if the Zod fight was good enough for you then this should be on par if not better.
In a recent blog entery DC had the following to say:
“That changed on October 15, 2014, when Warner Bros. revealed a full slate of ten DC Entertainment feature films all set within the same universe. The list included the movies we were hoping to see—Wonder Woman will get her own film, while the Justice League will get TWO movies. However, it also included quite a few surprises. A standalone Cyborg movie! A Flash feature starring Ezra Miller! A Suicide Squad movie! And coming in 2016, no less!!”
So the Justice League will be making a full appearance on the big screen, but it may not have the scale of Justice League Unlimited but eventually may expand. The DC movie slate is set to release movies right through to 2020 including The Flash, Suicide Squad, Shazam and also Cyborg.
Batman V. Superman Dawn of Justice is set for a March 2016 release with Shazam getting a 2019 slate.
