Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may have finished filming, but there are fresh reports from production. Apparently Weta Digital has sent a special effects team to help produce a scene in the film.
Weta Digital are the same guys that brought to life planet Krypton in Man of Steel, the whole battle and Superman’s escape from the planet’s destruction. According to Senior Visual Effects Supervisor Joe Letteri, the reason for the Weta Digital callback was to recreate a massive visual scene, with the same epic scope for the Man of Steel sequel. With an interview with Collider, he stated:
“The sequence that we’re doing is sort of self-contained, and I don’t think you would’ve seen any of that yet. … I can’t really give any away, but it is a standalone sequence and I think you’ll be able to pick it out when you do see it.“
