Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will find himself caught in the eye of the storm, perhaps literally, when he accidentally travels through time in the fifteenth episode of The Flash.
“It is played both for hilarity and darkness,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “It happens in an episode we’re really excited aboutt — the first Weather Wizard episode with Liam McIntyre.”
McIntyre has been cast as Mark Mardon, Weather Wizard 2.0. Mark returns to Central City to get revenge for his brother’s death, the first Weather Wizard.
The fifteenth episode is currently untitled, but McIntyre will also be featured in the sixteenth episode entitled, “Rogue Time.”
It’s the time travel storyline fans have been waiting for ever since it was teased in the last scene of the pilot. The episode may help answer how Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and the Reverse Flash battled each other in the midseason finale.
Yes, Cavanagh revealed that his character is indeed the man in the yellow suit during a panel at the Television Critics Association last week.
The episode may also provide some answers to the mystery behind Nora Allen’s murder.  During the panel, it was also revealed that fans would see the scene from the perspective of Reverse Flash.
The Flash returns Tuesday, January 20 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
