DC Entertainment (DCE) and Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) have announced plans for a worldwide attempt to set the world record for ‘Most People Dressed as DC Superheroes’.

In some fantastic news for cosplayers everywhere, April 18th will mark the start of a world record attempt for ‘Most People Dressed as DC Superheroes’ that will take place across the globe. Celebrations will start in Queensland, Australia at the Gold Coast’s Movie World theme park, and will finish at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles, USA.

Fans have to be dressed as a recognizable DC Super Hero to participate, from either a comic book, movie, or tv show. Don’t worry if you’re not a pro cosplayer though, all costumes are welcome including homemade and officially licensed ones.

Events will also feature interactive games and activities for the whole family before the formal attempt at the record is made. In the lead up to the record attempt local sponsors, along side DCE and WBCP, will also be holding a number of photo competitions and sweepstakes.

“Warner Bros. Consumer Products is thrilled to team up with partners around the world to set the world record for the most people dressed as DC Comics Super Heroes. We invite fans of all ages to come out for this exciting family event and don their capes, cowls and masks to represent their favorite DC Comics Super Hero.”

– Brad Globe, President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
