It appears that the line up for Task Force-X just got a little beefed up. A classic member of the Batman rogues gallery has been added to the team. Former Lost actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has reportedly been cast as Killer Croc in the upcoming David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie. I assumed that a behemoth would be joining the team at some point. I did however think it would be King Shark from the New 52 continuity.  Previously Akinnuoye-Agbaje appeared in Thor: Dark World. It seems he has wised up and joined the right side. This is yet another great casting choice in a film already brimming with star talent.
Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) will now be in control of an extra lethal team of villains. Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), The Joker (Jared Leto), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), and Capt. Boomerang (Jai Courtney) will all be featured in the film. With the addition of Killer Croc this movie is starting to sound better and better.
It is being reported by someone close to the project that Karen Fukuhara will also be joining the movie in an unknown role. The main rumor is that she will play a small part as Plastique but nothing is confirmed. My fingers are still crossed for Killer Frost or Giganta. I think those would be two great female characters to add to the squad.
Expect more casting news as soon as we get ahold of it. Any thing we hear, you’ll hear first. David Ayer’s Suicide Squad film will be in theatres August 5th, 2016. You can also check out Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in upcoming episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones and in Bryan Cranston’s drama Trumbo.
