Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim announced via Twitter that co-executive producer Wendy Mericle will become the co-showrunner for the fourth season of the show.
Mericle joined the team as a producer way back in the first season and soon became its co-executive producer. She has also written several episodes for the show. Most recently, “Nanda Parbat” and “Public Enemies.” This isn’t her first experience working in the live-action superhero show field, as she previously worked as a writer for Smallville.

The season finale of Arrow will premiere on May 13. The show airs on Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on The Cw.
