It is time to get ready for another team-up between DC Comics and Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken. The Emmy award-winning series will debut Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Friendship is Magic sometime this Fall. Many of your favorite DC heroes and villains will appear in this third special. Robot Chicken and DC Comics seem to have a great and long-lasting relationship. Not only is this their third TV effort together, Robot Chicken has also graced the covers of the comics a couple of times.

The Robot Chicken DC Comics Special III: Friendship is Magic will showcase Batman and Superman’s relationship taking a more than aggressive turn. Of course the two powerhouses cause the fate of the universe to sway. The minds and voices behind this episode will include Seth Green, Breckin Meyer, Matt Senreich, Alfred Molina, Nathan Fillion, Weird Al Yankovic, Alex Borstein, Giovanni Ribisi, Jonathan Banks, Mae Whitman, Hugh Davidson, Dee Bradley Baker, Zeb Wells, and Kevin Shinick. And what would a DC/Robot Chicken Special be without Batman legends Adam West and Burt Ward.

Head writers Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root join forces with various writers from season 8 such as Deirdre Devlin, Jeff Eckman, Mike Fasolo, Shelby Fero, Joel Hurwitz, J.T. Krul, Jason Reich, Mehar Sethi, Erik Weiner and Brian Wysol. This one episode will gather the highest profile names from each side of the creative table. Seth Green and Matt Senreich with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, Geoff Johns of DC, and the president of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series Sam Register will all be lending their creative brain power to this episode.

If you haven’t seen the first two DC/Robot Chicken collaborations be sure to check those out. With this recent news coming out it leaves me with another high hope. Maybe sometime after, or before, the special premieres DC will announce another run of Robot Chicken variant covers. It would be a nice “We’re Sorry” for the LEGO month.
