The Man of Steel Sequel Had Metallo as the Main Antagonist

Before the conception of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder had other plans for the Man of Steel sequel.

Zack Snyder apparently considered Metallo (known as John Corben, a cyborg functioning over the usage of a Kryptonite-powered body) to be the next antagonist for the man of steel.

“I remember talking about ‘What’s the next villain? We can’t do another alien invasion.’ Brianiac was definitely down the road. Metallo, I think, was going to be the main bad guy of this movie.”

Surely, the visual potential of a battle between the man of steel and Metallo, the Kryptonite man is astonishing. I hope he is used as a villain in the near future of the cinematic universe.

“I said, ‘What about at the end of the movie we do a scene where there’s a crate full of Kryptonite delivered to Wayne Manor.Everyone was like…’Okaay.’ Once you say it out loud it’s a problem because you can’t unsay it”,  Snyder told Entertainment Weekly.

What do you think, could Metallo still be an antagonist for Cavill’s Superman in the near future? Was he a good possible choice?
