Damien Darhk is heading to Starling City!

Neil McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger, RED 2) has officially been cast as the elusive and dangerous criminal mastermind, Damien Darhk, in the upcoming fourth season of Arrow.

Damien Darhk was an enemy of the Teen Titans, and made his first appearance in Titans vol. 1 #1.  He was also member of the criminal organization H.I.V.E., Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination.

In season 3 of Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul describes him as a renegade member of the League of Assassins, who left the group after being denied leadership to form a “hive” of his own.  As revealed in the finale, Ra’s al Ghul’s plans to destroy Starling City were thinly veiled as an attempt to kill his nemesis Darhk, who skipped town before the League of Assassins could do him harm.

As first reported by TVLine, Darhk will be a “mysterious, cunning and sophisticated villain who was a rival to Ra’s al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group (H.I.V.E.), Darhk will prove a challenging foil for Arrow.”

McDonough is no stranger to the DC universe, having voiced both Deadshot in the DC Animated film, Batman: Assault on Arkham, and Green Arrow in DC Showcase: Green Arrow.

Arrow returns with its fourth season on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at 8/7c on CW.
