It’s villains galore for the DCTV Universe! These past couple of days we’ve been captivated by the reveal of new characters joining our favorite shows. Damien Dhark was revealed to be the big bad of “Arrow” and Zoom was revealed to be the big bad of “The Flash.”
Now it’s time for “Supergirl” to get in on the fun. During their SDCC panel last night we learned of three foes that will make their way to the silver screen. Livewire and Reactron are going to appear on the show and aim to pose a threat to Kara Zor-El. The other name to note is none other than Maxwell Lord.
Lord has had a checkered past to say the least, sometimes the villain, sometimes a helpful ally. In the comics he was once a powerful business man who aided the Justice League through troublesome times. His biggest moment though came when it was revealed he was evil and murdered Blue Beetle in cold blood.
While Livewire and Reactron have yet to have been cast, “Twilight” alum Peter Facinelli will portray Maxwell. CBS/Warner Bros. Television released a description of the role Maxwell will play on the show:
“Maxwell is a green tech billionaire who enjoys a friendly rivalry with Cat Grant and a fascination with National City’s newest arrival — Supergirl.”
These three villains will join an already impressive cast of potential villains though. Already on the show we have Hank Henshaw aka Cyborg Superman and the evil alien Vartox. It remains to be seen if Lord will indeed be the big bad of the first season of “Supergirl” but it definitely makes us intrigued to see how it goes.
