Michael Keaton, who portrayed Batman in the popular Tim Burton Batman films, explained the biggest difference between Batman and Spider-Man during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The former Bruce Wayne told the story of him going into a store to get the cracked screen of his iPhone fixed. However, while Keaton was in the store, a Spider-Man movie was playing on one of the TVs, distracting the sales clerk who seemed much more interested in seeing what happened to Peter Parker than helping Keaton.

Keaton was afraid that the clerk would recognise him for having played Batman, but it quickly became apparent to Keaton that the sales clerk had no idea who he was, so Keaton then started watching the movie with the clerk.

During one of the more emotional scenes in the movie, involving Gwen Stacy (portrayed by Emma Stone), Spidey started crying. Keaton was shocked, and asked the clerk, “This is Spider-Man, is he crying?” To which the sales clerk replied, “Yeah.”

Keaton then waited a while, then muttered “P****.” When the clerk looked over to him, Keaton said, “Batman would never cry.”
