Last month, TNT announced that the network had scrapped the idea of the live action Titans TV series that would supposedly revolve around Nightwing and other member of the Titans.
Though the news was disappointing, it looks as if the idea of seeing the Teen Titans brought to life in live action isn’t completely dead. TVLine recently talked to Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment CCO, and he told them that DC was planning something else for Titans.
“We [at DC] have known about [Turner cancelling Titans] for months and months and months. That’s not new news to us. We have plans for Titans,” Johns states. “It’s a huge piece of DC and we have plans.”
It’s possible that by “plans” Johns means a movie, and many rumours have been flying around about the Cyborg movie turning into a Titans movie, but right now there has been no confirmation, however it seems highly likely that some form of Teen Titans live action will be coming out at some point, possibly sooner rather than later.
