It seems even Ben Affleck is a little afraid of the Dark Knight.

Recently, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck appeared together on the NBA All-Star Game Pre-Show to have a chat about their much awaited upcoming film Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

When asked what it was like taking on the iconic role of Batman, Affleck admitted to finding it “very intimidating”. He even remarked that he found the level of training it takes to get into Superhero-shape daunting, likening it to the work of professional athletes.

However, Affleck also stated that he did find comfort in the knowledge that he wouldn’t be playing a Batman in his “prime”. Affleck described his version of the Dark Knight as “He’s a little over the hill—broken,”.

“He’s kind of given up. And when Superman shows up he’s like so powerful that he threatens everything that Batman kind of believes in, and it leads to this conflict. So it wasn’t like I had to play Batman in his prime, so that was at least the excuse that I told myself.”

Cavill, similarly, said he found that there was a lot of pressure that came with the equally iconic role of Superman.
