Griffin_greyGriffin Grey, a supervillain created by Danny Bilson and Paul DeMeo during their run on The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, will square off against Team Flash on April 26’s episode of The Flash, titled “Back to Normal.”

John Showalter directed the episode written by Brooke Roberts & Katherine Walczak. Bilson and DeMeo, of course, worked on the 1990 TV series The Flash, featuring John Wesley Shipp in the title role. When they left Fastest Man Alive, they were succeeded by Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim.

Though this variation of the character is very different from the comics. In The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive, Griffin Grey was a friend and roommate to the Bart Allen incarnation of The Flash. Bart and Griffin also worked together at Keystone Motors. After an explosion caused by a former employee who was angry about being replaced by assembly machines, Griffin began exhibiting the power to emanate green, lightning-like energy, which is not the case in this upcoming episode.

Check out the official synopsis for “Left Behind”:

A meta-human with super strength named Griffin Grey (guest star Haig Sutherland) mistakes Harry (Tom Cavanagh) for Earth-1 Harrison Wells and kidnaps him, demanding that Wells cure him from his current condition. Realizing another brilliant Wells could help track Griffin’s location, Barry asks Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) to help. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) corners Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about The Flash.
