Frank Cho has announced that he will be drawing the variant covers for Wonder Woman starting with the “Rebirth” relaunch. The twice-monthly series will see Cho producing 24 covers in all. Wonder Woman will be written by Greg Rucka with art by Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott. Sharp will be handling art duties for odd numbered issues set in the present, while Scott will be working on even numbered issues set in the past.

Cho has been under an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics for years, this is a hugh “get” for DC!

Cho posted on Facebook:

Wonder Woman #1 variant cover, partial peek.

Yup, as you guys may have heard I’m the new cover artist on the Wonder Woman series. I’ll be doing the variant covers on the new Wonder Woman Rebirth series written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott.

I can’t show you much more but Nei Ruffino, my colorist, is simply killing it with her fantastic colors. DC Comics should reveal the full colored cover images soon.

Frank Cho is a phenomenal talent, Below is a sampling of Cho’s commission sketches, just to give you an idea of what we can look forward to!
