Deadline reports that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be exceeding its originally intended number of episodes this season, as the hit television series has just ordered an additional four episodes. Though this doesn’t mean that a third season is set in stone, these newly added installments to season two suggest that the network is happy with the initial success of the series.

The series has been receiving an average of 2.3 million viewers, which is a 13% rise in views since network neighbor The Vampire Diaries aired in that time spot.

It was recently revealed that the second season’s tenth episode is titled “The Legion of Doom,” after the infamous gang compiled of various DC Comics supervillains. The Legion of Doom are the primary antagonists of season two, whose roster consists of Arrow and Flash villains, Malcolm Merlyn , The Reverse-Flash , Captain Cold, and Damien Darhk.

It seems very likely that the four additional episodes are a way to give the Legends more time to formulate a plan  against and eventually confront the Legion.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
