Description:

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiya’s lineup of statues based on the superheroes and villains of DC Comics continues to grow, and up next is Aquaman’s classic arch-enemy: the murderous BLACK MANTA! By all accounts the man known only as David had a rough childhood and at some point discovered both an affinity for the ocean and a hatred for the hero Arthur Curry. In the New 52 era of DC Comics Black Manta took his rivalry with Aquaman to a whole new level, but when the Crime Syndicate took over the Earth the undersea villain teamed up with Lex Luthor, Black Adam, Bizarro, Captain Cold, and others to try and save their world during the “Forever Evil” storyline. Now the scourge of the seven seas invades dry land in the DC Universe ARTFX+ Statue series, stalking his prey like an aquatic predator. Black Manta prowls forward, twin swords held at the ready and a water propulsion pack on his back. The villain’s battle-suit consists mostly of a skin-tight black material revealing David’s ripped physique, and his weapons and accessories are dark silver. No Black Manta would be complete without his iconic bug-eyed helmet and this ARTFX+ version replicates the unique look perfectly with ruby lenses designed to shoot deadly energy rays.

Sculpted by Ikkei Jitsukata, Black Manta stands over 7 ½ inches tall (1/10 scale) and like all ARTFX+ statues he has magnets in his feet for extra stability on his included display base. Continue your Forever Evil collection with this intense undersea predator who stands on two legs!
