On the next episode of Supergirl, Mr. Mxyzptlk declares his love for Kara.

This seems like it could be a fun episode. In typical CW fashion, Mxyzptlk is now a stud which is weird but I don’t really care that much. I am curious to know if he has any history with Clark or if this is his first appearance in this universe’s version of the mythology. My main excitement for the episode comes from the fact the episode is co-written by Sterling Gates who is the best writer of the Supergirl comic book. If you haven’t read his work with this character, you absolutely should. He even wrote a mini-series that is set in the universe of the show called The Adventures of Supergirl.

Mxyzptlk trying to sing the song from Aladdin is a good joke. Also, “blandsome” is one of the best insults towards a CW superhero in this universe; I love it. The first thing I thought of was CW’s Oliver Queen. The clip didn’t do much for me outside of those jokes but it’s a short clip out of context.
“Mr. and Mrs. Mxyzptlk” is written by Jessica Queller and Sterling Gates and directed by Stefan Pleszczynski. The episode airs Monday February 20 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time on the CW.
