Patty Jenkins has revealed that she really wants Lynda Carter to be in the Wonder Woman sequel. Carter was the famous Wonder Woman we know and love from the 70s TV show that ran from 75 to 79. Jenkins even said that to prepare for the film she watched the old 70s episodes and was in awe of Carter. Jenkins did reach out to Carter for a cameo in the first film, but timing was off to collaborate. A fan on Twitter asked Jenkins if Carter will be seen in Wonder Woman 2 and Jenkins replied with “Oh we tried, tried, tried.” and “we won’t stop trying.”
Carter commented on her missed opportunity saying she had other projects she previously committed to and couldn’t make it to the set for a cameo shoot. Carter has recently been seen in the CW’s Supergirl as the President of the United States and alien Olivia Marsdin. Hopefully things we work and we see this dream cameo happen.
